Situated in and around Rochester NY, Section 5 is the, what I call, "anyone can win" section. They are now tied for 2nd in State titles won with 30, as Victor and Avoca/Prattsburgh won the Class AA & D championships last season. Along with Section 6, this is one of the two largest sections in the state in regard to participating schools. Avoca/Prattsburgh. Lyons, Charlotte, Notre Dame-Batavia, C.G. Finney and Bishop Kearney lead the way, all with 2 titles apiece.
