The Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA), which was born in 1927, features teams located in NYC, Long Island, Westchester County and Buffalo. The standings for the Monsignor Martin League (Buffalo) can be found in Section 6. It is the largest catholic high school league in the U.S. Now defunct Rice high school has won the most Federation Tournament of Champions titles with 6. Nichols, now competing as a CHSAA school, has won 5 titles (4 as a NYSAIS school) followed by Christ The King with 4.

The NYCHSAA Basketball League is comprised of 31 schools encompassing the Archdiocese of New York and the Diocese of Brooklyn. The league spans across six counties: the five that makeup New York City and Westchester County. Each of the schools play in one of three (AA, A and B) divisions.
