SATURDAY’S GAMES OF NOTE:
- In an intersectional match-up, previously unbeaten Oneonta (11-1) lost to Cooperstown (13-0) 66-55.
- In Section 1, Woodlands (10-2) invaded Tappan Zee (11-0) and were soundly defeated 49-29.
- Today’s Unatego-Frankin (9-2) at Duanesburg (10-1) intersectional game was postponed.
- In a Section 5 clash, Cuba-Rushford (11-1) knocked off previously undefeated Andover-Whitesville (11-1) 71-60.
- Xaverian (10-4), out of the CHSAA, and Green Tech (8-1) played in the MLK Classic at LaSalle Institute with Green Tech coming out on top, 52-50.
- In the Hoophall Classic at Springfield, MA, NY’s #1 ranked team, Archbishop Stepinac (12-4), played IMG Academy-FL (13-6), ranked #4 among Prep schools, and came away with a 56-53 victory.

After this school year, Poughkeepsie will be moving from Section 1 to Section 9 and be a member of the MHAL league. They made this same move before the 2014-15 season only to return to Section 1 two years later. They will be re-joining Lourdes and Beacon, who made the same move a few years ago.
