2025-26 was a banner season for Section 3. Westhill, Marcellus, and Sackets Harbor won their 3rd straight section championship. In the NYSPHSAA Tournament, Sackets Harbor advanced to the Class D title game, Marcellus won their 2nd straight Class B title, while Westhill (26-0) and Cooperstown (27-0) topped them all by winning the Class A and C titles with unblemished records
Over the years, Section 3 has produced many great champions, many great teams. They are winners of 30 State Championships, 2nd in NY State history. Jamesville-DeWitt and Westhill, who won the Class B title last season, lead the way with 6 titles. Nottingham and New York Mills each have won 3. Nottingham also won the Federation Tournament each time to cap of their State Championship seasons.
