Bolton (26-1) had a great season, sweeping through NY opponents unbeaten while taking the 2026 NYSPHSAA Class D Championship with a 65-49 victory over a seasoned Sackets Harbor in the title game.
Located in the upper right-hand corner of the state, the area is divided into two leagues: the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and the Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference.
One of the smallest sections in the state with only 24 teams, Section 7 won their only other State Championship in 2017 when Moriah also took home Class D honors.
